Weight Management

Everyone has different reasons for weight gain, so there is no approach that works for everyone. Diets may help people lose weight in the short term, but over time, most people regain the weight they have lost and sometimes more. Sadly, this pattern of yo-yo dieting can make it harder to lose weight. I encourage a gradual process of lifestyle change, working with you to integrate small, sustainable changes into your day to day life, that help you manage your weight and keep it off for life.

I support people with a non-judgemental, whole person approach, taking the time to get to know you and what makes weight management difficult for you personally.

Sometimes your weight may be linked to other physical health problems such as diabetes, pain, sleep disorders and lymphoedema. I am experienced at working with these conditions and can help you liaise with doctors and other teams to ensure they are as well controlled and treated as possible.

What to expect

An initial consultation is a ‘get to know each other’ conversation. As well as your diet and medical history, we are likely to cover things such as your work, your family, any other health conditions and generally how well you feel in various aspects of your life. It’s an opportunity for you to talk about your weight journey and the impact it has had on your life. I am guided by you, and if there is anything that you do not want to discuss at that time, we won’t. My approach is designed to help you better understand the things that impact your weight and health. This, combined with me having a good understanding of your situation, means that what we talk about going forward is more relevant, and that the goals we set and work we do is more likely to work for you.

Review appointments offer you a chance to talk through how you think things are going, reflect on your progress and explore where you might like to go next. We can also discuss any concerns or questions you may have.

*In some cases, I will request that you complete a food diary prior to your appointment. 


Initial appointment (approx. 60 minutes):  £100

Review appointments (approx. 30 minutes): £60
Package of 4 review appointments: £220
Package of 8 review appointments: £440

At present, all appointments are done via Skype. It is sometimes possible to have review appointments via phone if desired. Face to face appointments are available but will be subject to a different fee.
